Current field of research is experimental particle physics, in particular high-energy colliding beams experiments.

1. Experiment "L3" at the electron-positron storage ring accelerator, LEP (CERN, Geneva, Switzerland):  Study of production and decay of the intermediate bosons W and Z. The properties of these particles provide key insights into the nature of the unified electro-weak interaction of quarks and leptons and allow precision tests of the "Standard Model" theory of electroweak unification. In parallel, the data accumulated by LEP is used to set stringent limits on the mass of the elusive Higgs and supersymmetric particles. LEP has reached a center-of-mass energy of 209 GeV, the highest ever achieved in electron-positron collisions.
2.  Experiment "CLEO" at the Cornell electron-positron storage ring accelerator, CESR (Ithaca, NY): Study of b quark properties in B mesons and in the Upsilon (b bbar) resonances. CESR operates at center-of-mass energies of 9-11 GeV.
3. Experiment "CMS" at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a 14 TeV proton-proton colliding beam accelerator currently under construction at CERN. Our group is involved in the forward muon system, specifically the front-end electronics for the anode wires of the forward muon cathode-strip chambers.
