Porous Semiconductor Grant received by Professor Randall Feenstra
The DURINT grant (Defense University Research Initiative on Nanotechnology) of Prof. Feenstra has been renewed for two additional years, May 2004 to April 2006, beyond the original three year term. This grant deals with the production, characterization and use of Porous Semiconductors for applications in epitaxy, catalysis, and biotechnology. The grant, $1.1M per year, funds 14 investigators at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, Virginia Commonwealth University, the State University of New York at Albany, Wright State University and the University of South Florida.
