Prof. Sara Majetich becomes Distinguished Lecturer
of the IEEE Magnetics Society for 2007

September 2006

Prof. Sara Majetich has been invited to become a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Magnetics Society for
2007. The Distinguished Lecturer programme is a distinctive contribution of the society to the field of magnetics, by means of which a small number of outstanding individuals are provided with travel expenses to deliver a lecture on a topic of special interest and importance. The intention is to enthuse and inspire, so the aim is to deliver an exciting, visual and stimulating lecture, at the tutorial level. The lecture should be accessible to a general audience and be stimulating, especially to young researchers beginning a career in magnetics. There are no limitations on the delivery of the lectures, except insofar as lectures should be given on a world-wide basis, specifically by arranging at least one tour to each of the USA, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
