Mathias Lösche will join the CMU Physics Department faculty in September, 2005.  Currently Lösche is a professor at the University of Leipzig (Germany). He holds additional appointments as director of the Cold Neutrons for Biology and Technology center at NIST and as a Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins University, Department of Biophysics. Lösche's research focuses on the structure biological membranes and the interaction between membranes and proteins.
